COURT HOUSE — The following local students graduated, were named to Dean’s Lists or received awards at their colleges or universities:
LAWRENCEVILLE— Rider University’s colleges of Business Administration; Continuing Studies; Liberal Arts, Education, and Sciences; and Westminster College of the Arts have announced the names of undergraduate students who have been placed on the Dean’s List for the spring semester. Area Dean’s List students are:
Michele Hunter of Court House, a senior Elementary Education major
Andrea Cocozza of Ocean City, a junior Fine Arts major
Sean Lonesky of Seaville, a junior Communication major
Mary Pennello of Tuckahoe, a senior Elementary Education major
Keleofa Bernard of North Wildwooda senior Business Administration major
Lauren Irwin of Wildwood, a sophomore Secondary Education major

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Carolyn Murphy, of Avalon, a Junior at Gettysburg College, has been placed on the Deans’ Honor List for outstanding academic achievement in the Spring 2011.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. — Alyson Thorp, a junior early childhood education major from Ocean City was named to the spring 2011 dean’s list at Elizabethtown College.

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. — Geneva College announces the following students on the Dean’s List for the 2010 – 11 spring semester.
Brittany Sterling of Court House is a Junior majoring in Biopsychology.
Brandon DeRuiter of Ocean View is a sophomore majoring in undeclared.

GETTYSBURG, Pa. — Kelsey Simpson of Erma graduated with a bachelors degree from Gettysburg College on May 22, 2011. Simpson majored in Individual Major.

GRANTHAM, Pa. — The following local students were among the 622 students to graduate from Messiah College on May 14 during the College’s annual commencement:
Marmora resident Molly O’Brien. O’Brien graduated cum laude with a degree in health and exercise science.
Ocean City resident Melanie Walters. Walters graduated cum laude with a degree in art education (K-12).

* Nadia Washlick of Court House graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University’s College of Arts and

* John Maloy of Wildwood Crest graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University’s College of Arts and
Sciences (major(s): English).

North Wildwood Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5941 graduating senior recipients of $500 award for volunteer service in our community were Morgan Kelly of Wildwood Catholic High Scool and Lyndi De Grandis of Wildwood High School.
Awards were presented at their graduation services by Commander Joe Orlando North Wildwood VFW Post 5941.
