Bastille Day Fundraiser to Benefit Bay-Atlantic Symphony in Avalon July 14

By Press Release

AVALON – Enjoy an evening of beautiful music, food, drink, and camaraderie with a French flavor at a special Bastille Day fundraising event benefiting the Bay-Atlantic Symphony on Thursday, July 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Avalon History Center, 39th Street, Avalon, NJ.
The event, hosted by the Avalon Historical Society, will feature French wines, sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, a spectacular silent auction, and beautiful music by a trio of Bay-Atlantic Symphony musicians. The Symphony’s music director, Jed Gaylin, will also be attending.
The theme of the event anticipates the Bay-Atlantic Symphony’s concert on Saturday, July 16, at the Avalon Elementary School, featuring George Gershwin’s An American in Paris and Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide” Overture.
Tickets for the fundraiser are $100 per person and are available at Sturdy Savings Bank, 2628 Dune Dr., Avalon; the Avalon Chamber of Commerce, 2989 Ocean Dr., Avalon; Armadillo, Ltd., 2761 Dune Dr., Avalon; or through the Bay-Atlantic Symphony.
“This is the perfect way to enjoy a great evening with friends, get in the right mood for that weekend’s Bay-Atlantic Symphony concert, and help raise money to keep the music playing in South Jersey,” said Bay-Atlantic Symphony Executive Director Paul Herron.
For more information, call the Bay-Atlantic Symphony at (856) 451-1169, visit the Symphony’s website at www.bayatlanticsymphony.org, or visit them on Facebook.
