On Saturday, June 21, the City of Cape May will host Harbor Fest 2008, the first of what promises to become an annual celebration of seafood and song, the sea, its culture, its economy, and its ecology. Picturesque Cape May Harbor will provide the setting for Harbor Fest with water taxi rides, a junior fishing contest, Coast Guard rescue demonstrations, and kayak eco-tours. Land based activities will take place along Delaware Ave. near the Nature Center of Cape May. Start: 10:00 am

Upper Library hosts lecture on Eastern Coyote in New Jersey The Cape May County Library invites the public to gain knowledge of the coyote since we are seeing and hearing more of this fascinating animal in New Jersey. The lecture will take place at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 23 at the Upper Cape Branch Library, 2050 Route 631, Petersburg. The museum is particularly excited for the opportunity to be able to offer the series once again. The program is funded by a donation from the Napier family in memory of World War II Navy Airman Curtis Napier. He received his gunnery training at NAS Wildwood in a SB2C Helldiver and subsequently was stationed in the Pacific. Following the war, he returned to Cape May County, became a permanent resident, and was employed locally.
