“The RMS Titanic,” a display of memorabilia and information highlighting the RMS Titanic, an Olympic-class passenger liner that sunk on the night of April 14, 1912, during her maiden voyage are featured. The display is presented by Dawn Steelman of Woodbine during the month of May at the Upper Cape Library Branch, 2050 Route 631, Petersburg.

The horizon of Wildwood, NJ, will overflow with
an amazing array of colorful flying creations of all shapes and sizes
Memorial Day weekend, as the 23rd Annual Wildwoods International Kite
Festival and East Coast Stunt Kite Championships take to the skies.

The largest kite festival in North America, every kind of kite imaginable
will be at the event, from traditional kites to enormous inflatable
creatures flown by professional kite flyers, members of local and
out-of-state kite clubs and interested spectators who register with the
event.

Avalon will be holding a Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 26, at 9am. American Legion Post 331 will be part of this event, along with elected officials and various other civic and volunteer organizations. The parade will proceed north along Dune Drive from 34th Street to the 21st Street Veterans Plaza, where a ceremony will take place. There will be a formal presentation of wreaths in memory of those men and women of the armed forces who gave their lives for our country.

Ceremony at Veterans Monument, 1st Avenue and Spruce Avenue, North Wildwood. 10 a.m. Event then moves to American Legion Post 184, Wildwood for all service organizations to attend. Free.

Cape May City will host a Memorial Day Service in Convention Hall beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 26. Participants will include City officials, local veterans organizations, the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
In addition to remarks from the honored guests, the Coast Guard Band will perform and a memorial wreath will be dropped into the ocean from a helicopter at approximately noon following the ceremony inside Convention Hall.
