“The RMS Titanic,” a display of memorabilia and information highlighting the RMS Titanic, an Olympic-class passenger liner that sunk on the night of April 14, 1912, during her maiden voyage are featured. The display is presented by Dawn Steelman of Woodbine during the month of May at the Upper Cape Library Branch, 2050 Route 631, Petersburg. Start: 12:00 am

Avalon will be holding a Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 26, at 9am. American Legion Post 331 will be part of this event, along with elected officials and various other civic and volunteer organizations. The parade will proceed north along Dune Drive from 34th Street to the 21st Street Veterans Plaza, where a ceremony will take place. There will be a formal presentation of wreaths in memory of those men and women of the armed forces who gave their lives for our country. Start: 10:00 am
