Avalon will be holding a Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 26, at 9am. American Legion Post 331 will be part of this event, along with elected officials and various other civic and volunteer organizations. The parade will proceed north along Dune Drive from 34th Street to the 21st Street Veterans Plaza, where a ceremony will take place. CAPE MAY—Cruise the Delaware Bay aboard the 100-foot Cape May Whale Watcher on Saturday, June 28 during the “Big Trip” Delaware Bay Lighthouse Adventure, co-sponsored by the Cape May Whale Watcher and the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC). The “Big Trip” is a seven-hour voyage of discovery and adventure up the Delaware Bay. Free! The 305th Air Mobility Wing will host the 2008 McGuire Air Expo – which is FREE to the public – on May 31 and June 1, 2008. Headlining this year’s event will be the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Additionally, the F-15 air demonstration team is scheduled to perform. A large number of current and former military aircraft, including the base’s own KC-10 Extender, C-17 Globemaster III and KC-135 Stratotanker will also be on display. Start: 12:00 am

Sea Isle City and AARP sponsor 7th annual Heart 5K Run/Fun Walk On Saturday, June 7, Sea Isle City and the local AARP chapter will hold their 7th Annual Heart 5K Run & Fun Walk at Kennedy Boulevard and the Promenade.
