Books, magazines, and various other items will be for sale at the Main Branch of the Cape May County Library located at 30 Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates.
• Tuesday, April 29 - Hardback books will be twenty-five cents and paperback books will be ten cents
• Wednesday, April 30- All items half-price
• Thursday, May 1 - Fill a bag for $1

Get a taste for what Cape May has to offer on Cape May Sampler Tours, Tuesday-Thursday, April 29-May 1 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. You will enjoy a Historic District trolley tour and an interior tour of two of Cape May’s famous bed and breakfast inns and guesthouses. Afterwards, experience an English tradition brought to Cape May with a light afternoon tea at the Carriage House Tearoom and Café on the grounds of the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St. Tickets are $16 for adults and $8 for children (ages 3-12).

Help the Wetlands Institute staff feed the fish and terrapins, or just watch the turtles chasing minnows and the horseshoe crab gobbling shrimp on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. It’s free with general admission; members are free.

A campaign to raise $10,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation children in Cape May County has been announced by the Greater Wildwood Hotel and Motel Association
The organization is seeking at least $100 each in contributions from its membership that includes 160 hotels and motels and 180 other businesses.

The piece de resistance of dining events is the Spring Festival Chefs’ Dine-Around on Thursday, May 1 at 6 p.m. A selection of Cape May’s premier restaurants will each serve a course of this five-course gourmet feast. Wine complementing each course will be served and a trolley shuttle between restaurants is provided. Reserve early, because this event is limited to 34 people! Admission is $125 (gratuity included).
