Help the Wetlands Institute staff feed the fish and terrapins, or just watch the turtles chasing minnows and the horseshoe crab gobbling shrimp on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. It’s free with general admission; members are free. Start: 4:30 pm

The Middle Township Recreation Center’s Kids Chess Club is sponsoring a chess tournament open to all grades. The Tournament will take place at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center, Main Street in Whitesboro on Tuesday, May 6. Sign-in begins at 4:00; the tournament runs from 4:30-6:30, with pizza, prizes and awards from 6:30-7:00. Register for the tournament at a chess club meeting or by contacting Mary Bittner at 624-8971 or marybittner@comcast.net. The Chess Club meets every Tuesday at the Martin Luther King Rec. Historic Cold Spring Village begins the 2008 season with Feasting On History, its main fundraiser of the year. This 8th annual restaurant gala will be held at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum, Cape May Airport, Rio Grande on Tuesday, May 6th at 6pm. Over 35 of Cape May County’s restaurants and six wine distributors generously donate gourmet food, wine and desserts. Sturdy Savings Bank is the presenting sponsor for this event. Last year, over 600 attendees made Feasting on History a memorable and successful one. | ||
