The Ocean City Fine Arts League announces  this years "Battle of the Bands" competition   Admission tickets are available at the door or in advance at the Ocean City Fine Arts League, 608 Asbury Avenue or at the City Hall Annex, 901 Asbury Avenue.
Bands already in the competition are some of the hottest bands in the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas, PBL, Andrew Jude and One Two Three Draw and The Band of Ghosts,

The Annual Easter Fashion Stroll sponsored by the City of Cape May and the Washington Street Mall Management Association will be held on the Washington Street Mall . The Parish Hall of Our Lady Star of the Sea on Ocean Street (located behind the church) will be the inclement weather site. Registration will begin at noon and the event will commence at 1:00 p.m. A variety of ribbons, prizes, treats and gift certificates provided by the mall merchants will be awarded. The event will be highlighted by a visit from the Easter Bunny sponsored by the Original Fudge Kitchen and Dairy Queen.

Need a touch of spring? Anxious to see what everyone will be wearing once the days of jackets, scarves and boots are finally over? The Cape Women's Resource Fund will welcome the first day of spring with a Hat Flash luncheon and fashion show with fashions and accessories from Talk of the Walk of Stone Harbor and Atlantic City. In the 18th and 19th centuries, young girls learned their stitches and practiced their letters and numbers by making samplers. The Cape May County Historical Society currently has 27 samplers in the collection, most of them worked by young women of Cape May County. They span almost a century, with the earliest worked by Mary Eldredge in 1796 and the newest done by Martha Norton in 1853. Over the last 2 years, the Historical Society has had the samplers restored, conserved and framed.
