Jazz Vespers at the First Presbyterian Church, Hughes & Decatur Streets, Cape May, NJ. A very special concert – a rare appearance of Barry Miles, the world-famous Grammy winner who has played on dozens of classic jazz albums. Barry was Roberta Flack’s music director for about 15 years and has played with virtually all of the jazz greats of the past two decades. Barry will play in a jazz trio consisting of himself on piano, Bob Shomo on Drums and Tim Lekan on Bass. Barry played on our stage last year and the place was packed, so be sure to come a little early to get a seat.

The group plays cool and contemporary jazz and has wowed audiences throughout the region in recent years. They played their first Jazz Vespers concert back in February ant tore the place up!

World Class Bluegrass Duo Springfield Exit Appearing at the Chalfonte

Springfield Exit, a revolving band of world-class bluegrass musicians appears in the Chalfonte Hotel's "Concerts by Candlelight" series on Tuesday, July 13 at 8:30pm in the hotel's performance venue, the Henry Sawyer Room. The duo performing at the Chalfonte, David McLaughlin and Scott Brannon have been individually well-known on the national bluegrass music scene for many years. Both live in the Shenandoah Valley, but have spent most of their careers with their own separate bands.

The Cape May Traditional Jazz Society presents live Dixieland music on Sunday July 20 from 2 to 4 pm at VFW Post386 419 Congress St. Cape May. "Ragtime" Bill Newnwm & Bobby Quale's six experienced traditional dixieland musicians (trumpet, clarinet, trombone, base, banjo, drums) + Valerie Jean on vocals playing and singing with gusto! All are welcome.
Admission $10, free parking, ADA complient, refreshments available. Proceeds donated to Middle Township & Lower Township High Schools band/music programs.
