Celebrating “Catch the Reading Bug” summer reading program, children can purchase one book and get the second one free at a special Scholastic Book Fair held July 14 through July 18 at the Main Branch of the Cape May County Library, 30 Mechanic St., Cape May Court House.

Hundreds of books for every price range, interest, and reading level are offered for sale, along with games, toys and stuffed animals. This sale is for preschoolers, elementary, middle and high school students. What a great deal!

The Dennis Township Chamber of Commerce will hold their “Dinner and a Seminar” event on June 30th, at the Avalon Links Restaurant, Rt. 9, Swainton.
The topic “Smart Growth in Dennis Twp. & Town Center Designations” will include speakers Andy Previti, Dennis Township Engineer, and Attorney Jim Pickering.

Children will benefit from the ultimate butterfly experience during Cape May County Library’s summer reading program “Catch the Reading Bug” as the Butterfly Lady of Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary demonstrates how these beautiful insects live.

The Butterfly Lady features an interactive, fun and educational program with live butterflies, mounted specimens, props and costumes appropriate for all school-aged children.

The Cape May County Library is delighted to invite children to a play, “The Caterpillar Hunter,” presented by the Traveling Lantern Theatre Company. The play is part of the library’s summer program “Catch the Reading Bug” and is suitable for children of all ages.

“The Caterpillar Hunter” is based on the beloved character of the late Steve Irwin. The Caterpillar Hunter shrinks himself and sets off to explore the terrain, pursuing elusive bugs and strange herbage in the wild recesses of a common North American vegetable garden
