Missed Meetings

So what do we do when a Council Person or the Mayor want’s to take a months vacation off? You know that vacation adds up to $688 in pay for time missed for a Council member $979 for the Mayor. I say this is not something that we want to see our elected officials in Stone Harbor collect when they are not on the job, health issues exempted. There is nothing that I know that says that Council Persons or the Mayor should get paid for missing meetings. Of course there is nothing that says they can’t. That is the crux of the matter. This is not a perk I want to see our elected part-time officials receive. So let’s get this fixed right away, no work, no pay.
