Some days I have more energy then others. I try to be an over achievermama but sometimes I am just tired. However, Yesterday was one of those days that I felt adventurous.(yeah me!!!) The Norton boys and I set off to accomplish a craft.
It was fun. It was artistic. It was a culture experience for my kiddos. Matty ended up eating the paint (gross.....the baby is still learning) see pictures above, and my kitchen chair now has a steak of blue paint across it.....but it is ok.(it is washable) Visual disaster aside, we had fun. The links to our project is below if you have the energy to try this with your kiddos. If you do, please leave a comment!!! I would love to hear how the experience plays out for your family.

    What you need-------

Watercolor paints(the cheap ones that come in a white dish with cover that mix with water) They are available everywhere including CVS, Staples, Acme and Shoprite

    Elmers Glue(or like brand)

    Paper

    Directions

    1. Pour glue all over in a crazy design on the paper. The more circles and weird patterns the more fun. Do not spread!

    2. Let dry.(we continued with more paper pieces while this was happening)

    3. Use watercolors to continue. As the glue is resistant to the watercolors and dries clear, this makes for a great piece of art.

    4. Use many colors. The more colors and mixing the more fun your kids will have.

(Using the glue was great for my 5 year old because it provided muscle coordination to squeeze the glue and mover it all around)

We all had fun, despite the mess. Attempt to do....If you have the energy!!!! This was such an easy project!!!!
