    The opening reception is Saturday, October 25th, 5-8pm. The exhibition continues through December 14th.
    Gallery hours in the winter are Thursday-Sunday, 10am-5pm.

    Soma NewArt Gallery in Cape May is pleased to present, as it's final exhibition on the 2008 season, "Selected Works", a juried group show featuring the talented artist members of the prestigious Cape May County Art League. An opening night artists' reception will be held Saturday, October 25th, from 5-8pm. The exhibition will continue through december 14th. In the previous image posted, details of paintings by Peg Dittmar, Carol King Hood, Fred Hadtke, and Mike Lipton are posted.
    Soma Gallery is proud to be partnering with the Cape May County Art League to present this exciting exhibition of twenty-five artists, working in oil, watercolor and acrylic, with styles ranging from realistic to abstract expressionist.

    The Cape May County Art League is the oldest count art league in the nation, marking eighty decades of artistic creativity and community outreach. The first meeting of th art league took place in the freeholders' room of the "new" courthouse building on October 26, 1929, almost 80 years ago. Composed of both amateur and professional artists and art enthusiasts, the Art League continues to grow and expand its member-base. The Cape May County Art League encourages the appreciation and self-expression of all art forms, visual, verbal and written, and it actively supports the creative arts through community and school programs throughout the greater Southern New Jersey region.

    Soma NewArt Gallery is dedicated to providing a quality exhibition space showcasing and promoting emerging and mid-career artists working in Southern New Jersey, as well as artists from Philadelphia and New York with ties to the region.

    At the core of its mission, SOMA seeks to bring regional artists to the attention of Museum curators and other metropolitan venues. As a result of this continuing initiative SOMA will be showcasing six artists at
    ArtNow at the prestigious Miami International Art Fair this December 4-7th bringing international exposure to artists Victor Grasso, Stan Sperlak, Sean Taylor, Maxi Cohen, Terri Amig and Sandra Bloodworth. Victor Grasso will also be presenting new paintings in a solo exhibition at the Noyes Art Museum in June 2009.
