Buy yourself some time!!!!
Posted: Mon, 09/15/2008 - 9:01pmSupper Thyme USA- Out of Kennet square, PA, the owners of this meal making establishment let you make your own monthly menu and the food comes in freezer safe packaging. They are willing to meet you in Cumberland county for a minimal ammount. I have not personally tried this yet, but I plan to some day. The service is worth the price in my book. You aren't buying the ingredients, making the meals, or taking the time to grocery shop. This is a busy mother's dream come true. http://www.supperthymeusa.com/
Sitters at the Shore- Wanna go out on a date last minute. The staff made up of substitute, retired, and full time teachers can serve even the locals on the weekends throughout the year and 7 days a week during the summer. They are screened and come with a "Mary Poppins" bag for entertainment for the children.
Online Shopping- Both Acme and Shoprite offer the services to shop online and in store pick up. For the same price as Shoprites in store pickup, Acme also offers delivery and bring the bags inside your house and right to the counter! I can only sing praises about this service. It is well worth the $10 and saving time.
Forget sorting laundry- Wash everything in cold water and buy cold water detergent available at most stores.
Online menus and Recipes- Kraftfoods.com not only saves you time but also saves you money. It has a ready shopping list available for groceries needed and they can all fit into one bag reusing flavor ingredients but allowing you to have a different meal every night. Yummy (and it really does fit into one bag) P.S. I don't always buy the kraft brand! shhhh! www.Kraftfoods.com
Clean time saving- Drop-in toilet cleaner dispenser such as Blue Duck or others helps to keep the time between cleanings to a minimal amount.
Shaving in the shower- Shick Intuition saves time. No need to lather, just glide and your done.
Baby Book Online- Save time by making a baby book online for free. Customize it to fit with your own child's personality. http://www.babychapters.com/

I think the second comment was in response to the first comment and I agree teachers in. Cmcounty are underpaid and overworked!

I am writing in response to the last comment made (Thursday). While I agree that times are tough with the rising costs of food and gas I am just wondering why you have to be so negative in your comment and as I read it I was unsure the point you were attempting to make. You criticize Elizabeth as a mother... than public schools and teachers. Sure, we all seem to live in a time when every second of our lives is scheduled but the bottom line is no matter what your age, as a mother, we all do the best we can! It's a shame to be so critical.

Although your point is valid, I wonder what parenting decade you are from if at all a parent at all! All though a mothers job has never been done nor will ever be done, much has changed for the everyday mom! Now one must work to pay to for the ever growing price of gas and food! The housing market price has grown aswell as taxes in this area! The choice of schools is limitted and private school is around an avarage 4500.00 a year in price! The teachers in the public schools are underpaid and overworked leaving our children falling behind if we don't chose better for them! All of these choices cost more but are worth it for our children! These reasons aside for the struggles of a 2 parent working family, let alone one that has chosen to have one stay home as the main care giver! Are you saying that a mom is unworthy of having a moment to herself, let alone more time with her children! Today is the day of cloth diaper washing, breatfeeding, college sending, and living in this county driving from one end to the other just to pick your own kids up from different schools! At some point something has to give!

So lets pay someone to shop and cook for us. The question might be why are we soooo busy and how have we filled our time. Perhaps we need to go back to growing things in the garden and slow down a bit
