As school is reentering our every day lives in the Norton household, I find myself having to relearn how to let go. Reading this book to my child last night did not loosen my grip.

In "Not Everyone is Nice" by Frederick Alimonti and Ann Tedesco, Ph.D, the focus is on a little girl, Kathy, that meets a stranger that claims to know her parents. How the story of safety is executed by comparing Mr. Green to a sea anemone. "It fools fish by looking like a plant so that they won't be afraid to come near it. Then, when the fish gets close, the sea anemone gobbles them up for dinner!" explains Kathy's father.

A list of tips are in the back for parents and children on how to stay safe. This is a important conversation to have about how to caution strangers. This message is taught in a non-frightening way but gives you the opportunity to share how important it is to not fully trust strangers. My son likes this book and occasionally requests to read it.

It was purchased in Borders bookstore but can be purchased online as well. If your family owns this book, or you know of a similar book on abduction please share with us below your thoughts and concerns.
