When a reader asked me if I knew of a mom's groups in Cape May County, I was delighted to be able to answer yes. I am ecstatic to tell you that a moms group is now in the works. Cape May Moms is now being established and is looking for new members.

I have been a mom now for 5 years (all 5 have been wonderful and trying at the same time.) I am not sure I could have dealt with the trivial parts of motherhood, If it weren't for my friends. I don't know what I would have done. I have had friends that I have graduated high school with. I have had friends from church and friends from work. Going along with motherhood comes an isolation, that unless those friends are mothers themselves, it is a challenge to keep those deep rooted relationships going. I have lived here in Cape May County and it seems to me that networking is hard due to the geographic isolation that can happen here . I worry about the moms new to this area. I worry about the mothers that have been left behind choosing to raise babies as their friends have chosen college or have been directed to other parts of the world to carry on their own life. That is why I am so excited about Cape May Moms.

Is your life busy with days full of working, caring for you children, and maintaining your home? Are you are confined to your house being a Stay-at-home Mom? Cape May Moms group welcomes you to be part of them. They want to celebrate motherhood and be an outlet to the outside world. To socialize with other moms, to have your children socialize with other children, to laugh, to have fun and to share a cup of coffee with someone older then the age of 18.

At the first meeting, you can financially relax because for all new members can join for the first 3 months free.

I truly believe a support system that you can find can be beneficial to any mother. Some people join to educate themselves on topics about parenting, others are looking for playgroups where their children can play, some are looking for volunteer opportunities, and others are just looking for other mothers to talk to. Whatever your reason may be for finding a support group, know that having a good support system can really be beneficial to you, especially if you are a stay-at-home mother.
