Holding my oldest accountable for doing his chores has proven to be a chore for myself. This leads me to wonder if all the probing and fighting with him to get the job done is worth it. Sometimes its just easier to do the job myself but if I retreat to this cop out then I am no longer teaching responsibility. I end up hurting my son by teaching him a very bad lesson that procrastination has its perks. I have high hopes for the Handipoints website as it might make the incentive to finish the task put before Mr. 5 year old a little easier.

Handipoints creates a cartoon cat to dress and play with. As your child earn points, it enables him/her to watch cartoons starring their virtual pet and dress it in different outfits or costumes. For the older children it keeps track of monetary dollars as they earn their allowances. This saves time and makes chores fun. This might be just what our family needed to get the job done.

Check it out and tell me what you think.
