STONE HARBOR -- Postponed a week due to Hurricane Irene, merchants here rolled out goods onto the sidewalks Sat., Sept. 3 for the annual “Sidewalk Sale.”
Crowds filled the main business district’s sidewalks to overflowing as they sorted through skirts and shirts, sunglasses and pet trinkets, shoes and jewelry seeking bargains galore.
The business district made a rapid transformation from the prior weekend, when most storefronts had been closed by protective plywood as Irene, a Category 1 hurricane, loomed.

lol at people BUYING last years stuff and thinking they are getting a deal.the only reason the old stuff is out there to make room for stuff for next years sidewalk sale.which is all the stuff they bought this year
