CAPE MAY – Save the date: June 15-17, 2012, is Cape May’s 5th Annual Harbor Fest. Already, Cape May’s best attended one-day event, Harbor Fest provides Cape May residents and tourist with their best opportunity for a full weekend of fun-filled activities to start off the summer season. The kids are out of school and its Father’s Day weekend – time to play outside!
New for this year are plans to make Harbor Fest a three-day event by adding activities on Sun., the 17th:
• A boat parade featuring local and visiting boating clubs and groups
• An “Anything That Floats but a Boat Regatta.” Combine common household items, cardboard, duct tape and creativity, then add a lot of laughs
• Finally, the “First Resort Bicycle Challenge,” which will combine a bicycle road rally through the streets of Cape May with a quest to locate various treasures at participating businesses.”
But we need your help! Business sponsorships and volunteer workers are currently being sought. Want to learn more? Contact Gretchen at the Nature Center: 898-8848 or Doreen at the Chamber: 884-5508 EXT: 102
