Former School Actors to Reprise Roles at Middle PAC

COURT HOUSE - Some 80 former student actors at Middle Township High School will reprise the roles they enacted in Broadway musicals during the past 19 years in a special concert on Saturday night, Feb. 25, at 7 at the school's Performing Arts-Center

The production will be a benefit to cover the costs of presenting high school musicals including this year's "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying." That will be presented on March 1 and 2 at 7 p.m. and March 3 at 2 and 7 p.m. at PAC and some of that cast will join the alumni in what has been billed as a "Musical Reunion Concert." The alumni event will present scenes from 20 musicals ranging from "Show Boat" to the "King and I" and to the big scale "42nd Street" which will feature the production number "Lullaby of Broadway." Two scenes from "How To Succeed ... " also will be presented at the déjà vu production. All of the performers will also perform for the first time together in opening and closing production numbers.
Some of the alumni who will perform include Garrett Olthuis ("Damn Yankees")., Georgiana Beddow ("The Sound of Music," "The King and I" and "The Music Man") Alexandria DeCastro ("Show Boat") and Jacklyn Buckingham ("Les Miserable’s and "The Mystery of Edwin Drood").

The 1,000 seat PAC will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with special attractions at its centrally located showplace that features free parking. The alumni event and the high school production are being directed by Deborah Jenkins Dalfonso, high school drama and music teacher who conceived the idea for the fundraiser. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for senior citizens and $10 for students.

Meanwhile, the curtain will rise a few days later on "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" with a cast of 45 that includes in leading roles Kaneen Meredith, Ashley Badders, BillyJohnson, Colin Milio, Kendra Lee, Zachery Petersen, Angel Saclayan, Brooke Harris, Brandon Mitchell and Alyssa Sullivan. Tickets are $10 general admission, $9 for seniors and $8 for students. Call 463-1924 for tickets for both shows.
