NORTH WILDWOOD – Maddie McCracken came in second in the national Hoop Shooting contest of the Elks Club competing with 11 other 10-11 year old girls from across the United States sinking 23 of 25 foul shots.
McCracken represented the Greater Wildwood Elks in the Hoop Shoot local, state, regional and national competitions.
Mayor Bill Henfey of North Wildwood presented her with a plaque by proxy.
The Hoop Shoot takes place in individual lodges throughout the year and is open to all boys and girls in the community from 8 to 13 years of age. Winners from the local Elk lodges advance to District, Regional, State and National competitions.
