NORTH WILDWOOD — City police and firefighters responded to a call when an unidentified worker suffered injuries at a construction site on 17th Avenue during the late morning hours of Wed., Jan. 11.

According to a police spokesman, the worker suffered non-life threatening injuries while working at the top of a building currently under construction. Firefighters called to the scene lifted the victim from top of the building by using a ladder.

"He was lifted out, rather than carried down because of the open steps," the police spokesman told the Herald.

Once on the ground the worker was placed into an ambulance and transported to Cape Regional Medical Center.

"I believe he's being treated and will be released," said the police spokesman.
