AtlantiCare presented Gordon E. Callender, MD, Department of Surgery, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, and of AtlantiCare Physician Group Surgical Associates, with its Physician Recognition Customer Service Award for the second quarter of 2011 Nov. 15 at ARMC’s Mainland Campus.

Colleagues nominated Callender for his outstanding service to ARMC patients, their families and staff. He was recognized for excellent leadership, customer service and teaching abilities. In his nomination Callender is described as “always respectful, courteous, caring and professional.”

“Dr. Callender is dedicated to our patients and works well with ARMC’s multidisciplinary teams,” said Marilouise Venditti, MD, chief medical officer, ARMC and president, AtlantiCare Physician Group. “He is very attentive to the needs of patients while providing excellent care.”
