LOWER TOWNSHIP-- Lower Township Rescue Squad was called to the scene on Indian Ave in the North Cape May section of the township where a 37 year-old-male was rendered unconscious after falling from a moving car just before 2 AM on Thursday.
Police have identified the man as George Koeck, 37 of the Villas section of the township. According to police Koeck was arguing with his girlfriend Alicia Cacci, 36, of Atlanta, Ga. Upon Cacci attempting to depart in her vehicle, Koeck jumped on the hood in an attempt to prevent her from leaving. Koeck then jumped off the hood while the vehicle was moving and fell to the ground hitting his head.
Koeck was airlifted to the trauma unit at Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City by South Star medevac.
The flight crew reported Koeck fell while "car surfing" and sustained a head injury. His condition was stable en-route to the trauma center.
No charges were issued at the time of the accident, police said.

Babygirl: Please read my comment closer. I NEVER said that I would jump on someone's car! I am not physically able to do such a thing. I have tried all of the other things you have suggested (but normally there are others there that will tell that person who took their keys) and I have never called the police on anyone. Not that wouldn't be an option, but in my experience in any aspect of life, generally calling in the government causes more problems than solves them. I, have, in the last 5 years avoided going to parties or bars, except for the occasional daytime BBQ where I leave before the drinking gets going. I find that I do not want to be around annoying drunks and then feel anxious about thier subsequent driving. I think it's one of htose things where "it takes a village" and I am only one person. So, I just don't go out and put myself in that kind of position anymore. Thanks for your input, although you seemed to have read the part about jumping onto a car to stop a driver. I would never put myself in that kind of harms way, I have a family and bills etc, to take care of, I am sure you get my gist this time.

well ive never had trouble taking someones keys... if they are too drunk to drive, they are easily distracted.. reaction time is slower.. its fairly easy to take keys from someone like that. at least for me. you can always ask for help.. call some neighbors or friends. if all else fails, threaten to call the police or actually do call them. but hey.. if your down with standing on a vehicle while a drunk person is behind the wheel.. then go for it. just expect a trip to the hosipital.

I can't beleave that people are talking about who she was his girlfreind or not dont have anything to do with being hurt in that way. What I want to know is was their drinking involved? and why did he really do it. Because he got onto the car and then jumped off.? did the ( woman) speed up making him want to get off? if that is the case wrong or right she is responseable if she drove away? unless she was not aware he was on her car ? but I reallly don't so............. ITS ALL JUST SO DUMB EVEN FORREST GUMP WOULD NOT DO IT. lol

Once again , Darwin's Law proves that the morons will eventually die off . I'm sure these idiots didn't have any insurance - auto or otherwise - so , I guess , we all will pay for their stupidity .

babygirl88, just for my own edification could you tell me the proper way to stop someone from driving when you think they are too impaired? I really don't mean this as sarcastic. I have tried many times and have been generally unsuccessful. I have never physically jumped on a car to stop someone though. If that was the case, that he was trying to stop someone from driving, someone still got hurt so it somewhat defeats the whole purpose.
