WILDWOOD – Morey’s Piers welcomes amusement ride enthusiasts from all over the world Friday, July 8 through Sunday, July 10 during Coastin’ by the Ocean – an exciting and informative annual social gathering designed for members of amusement park related clubs and their guests.
Amusement ride enthusiast clubs connect individuals who are passionate about thrill rides, as well as connoisseurs of technical information and the rich history of amusement parks. Morey’s Piers operates three of only a few remaining Amusement Piers in the country. Amusement park devotees return to Morey’s Piers to enjoy the thrill of the rides against the unique backdrop of the Wildwood Boardwalk and award-winning beaches during an exhilarating three-day weekend which offers exclusive ride times, a behind the scenes tour and beach camping.
"Coastin by the Ocean is the most uniquely entertaining event on the coaster enthusiasts' calendar. Jack, Will, Dino, Kristel and the gang at Morey's put on an amazing show that have coaster fans from all over the country coming back year after year. We can hardly wait to see what they have up their sleeves this year," said Adam Revesz, New Jersey Regional Rep for American Coaster Enthusiasts.
Jack Morey, Executive Vice President of Morey’s Piers and Beachfront Waterparks credits this event and its attendees as essential in the planning of future rides and attractions at Morey’s Piers.
“Over the years we have found it extremely important to have an open dialogue with members of coaster clubs and amusement aficionados, especially when embarking on custom and one-of-a-kind attractions. Our relationship with them provides us with a critical research opportunity as they travel to amusement parks all over the world and opens the door for a true conversation about the best attractions and the best practices on a global basis. Aside from the technical aspects of the event, these people are just plain fun to hang out with,” said Jack Morey.
Among the Enthusiast Clubs attending the 2011 event are the American Coaster Enthusiasts, Coaster Zombies, Great Ohio Coaster Club, DAFE (Dark Ride and Funhouse Enthusiasts), Coaster Fusion and more.
All Coastin’ by the Ocean registrants must be card-carrying members of amusement park related clubs or a guest of a club member.
