Jerry Blavat, also know as “The Geator with the Heater” and “The Boss with the Hot Sauce,” will be spinning records and delighting music-lovers on Sat., Oct. 1, during Sea Isle City’s Annual Baby Boomers Rock ‘n Roll Revival fund raiser at LaCosta Lounge.
SEA ISLE CITY – On Sat., Oct. 1, Jerry Blavat, the iconic Philadelphia disc-jockey who is also known as the “Boss With The Hot Sauce,” will once again emcee the Baby Boomers Rock ‘n Roll Revival fund raiser in Sea Isle City. The annual “trip down Memory Lane” will take place at LaCosta Lounge, JFK Boulevard and Landis Avenue, at 9:00 p.m., to benefit the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce/Revitalization’s many family activities.
Blavat, who has thrilled music-lovers with his lively antics and humorous catch phrases for decades, will be spinning records at LaCosta Lounge until 1:00 a.m. – much to the delight of his many fans, who will dance the night away to some of the world’s greatest rock ‘n roll music for the low admission fee of only $10 per person. Baby Boomers and anyone over age 21 will also enjoy a complimentary dinner buffet and plenty of socializing with admission.
According to Sea Isle City Tourism Commission Chairman James Bennett, organizer of the event, the annual revival promises to be a rockin’ good time.
“This is always a very popular and successful event, and October 1 will be the last chance for people to see Jerry Blavat during the 2011 season,” said Bennett. “Jerry has just written a new book, and right now he is at the top of his game. The Baby Boomers Rock ‘n Roll Revival is the perfect opportunity to see the Geator with the Heater, enjoy a fabulous night with friends and dance to some of the greatest music ever made.”
