According to the American Dental Association, more people are choosing dental implants as an option to wearing dentures, or replacing missing teeth.

Of course, nothing can take the place of a healthy set of teeth, but when disease or accident causes the loss of a tooth or several teeth, it’s good to know there are alternatives for restoring your smile.

The typical three-part implant process involves a coordinated effort by the dental team and can take several months to complete. Most patients find that an implant is secure and stable, and ultimately makes a good replacement for their own tooth.

Implants do require surgery, and patients should be in good health overall and have healthy gums, so they may not be an option for everyone. You must also have adequate bone to support the implant.

Our dental office can determine if you are a suitable candidate for a dental implant. Call (609) 886-2277 today to find out more about dental implants.
