Returns to War Zone For Third Time
U.S. Marine Cpl. Steven J. Stankiewicz Jr.
VILLAS — U.S. Marine Cpl. Steven J. Stankiewicz Jr., 22, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C., has left for another tour to Afghanistan.
During his last tour, Stankiewicz’ truck hit an improvised explosive device resulting in injuries. He will be receiving his Purple Heart when he comes home this year.
Stankiewicz and his wife Jessica are expecting their first baby in July.
“Steven is proudly serving for his country, family, and friends. May angels protect Steve,” said his wife.
“Thank you for your bravery and commitment. Your proud family and your baby will be waiting for your safe return. We love you and miss you very much. Semper Fi,” she said.
