Although I feel the sentiment shared by Surfer Dude I have been renewing the license on the same dog for the past 7 years. in fact, He has a I.D. tag on his colar, with his name, address, and phone #. He has his veterinarian rabies tag on it too and he's chipped, and with that has a third tag with the 1-800 number to call and the chip serial number to give when dog is found. So in closing "B" the redundancy in Renewing a License on the same pet year after year is lost on me too. Imagine my doggie out at say 8pm. doggie catcher finds him. ok so, the only thing on his colar is the 4 digit License number. who at township hall is there at 8pm to look up that number? But I digress, you want everyone to pay $4.20 a dog to a township that already sucks you dry? $3.00 LICENSE FEE $1.00 REGISTRATION FEE 0.20¢ PILOT FEE ?? (WHAT IS THAT ?) TOTAL $4.20 PER DOG ! thats a good size amount of coin for the township.

Licenses identify your dog.

Identified dogs are easier to return to their owners when lost.

Identified dogs allow animal control to sometimes return a lost dog to his/her home rather than the shelter.

Part of the fee pays for rabies clinics keeping you safe from rabies in the community.

Owners of unaltered animals contribute to the state spay/neuter program which has reduced shelter killing by almost half since its inception in 1984,

Be kind to your dog, yourself and your community. License your dog.
