GOSHEN -- Patrons of the U.S. Post Office here, located for many years in the former Smith’s store at the intersection of Route 47 and Goshen Landing Road, were informed on Thur., June 16 that the office will close, and keys to mail boxes would be collected next week.
Saturday was the final day for collections there.
Patrons were directed to Dennisville Post Office to surrender their box keys.
No press notification was made by the local district based in Bellmawr.
The Postal Service has been under pressure to reduce expenses by closing small offices that do not produce sufficient revenue to allow them to remain open.
The building in which Goshen Post Office was located was sold.

Well this is very sad this was the greatest post office in Cape May County excellent service here and the people that entered to do business were nice and so were the locals that picked up there mail and would chat a very friendly place, to be closed and will be sadly missed and the Goshen Post Master also was always helpful and went above and beyond your regular post office for help. I will miss this being closed another Icon of the past lost.

Is there a sign on the old post office stating that everything got" lost in the mail"?
