Corzine Makes Statement on Fed's Corruption Probe

Gov. Jon Corzine

TRENTON – Gov. Jon S. Corzine issued the following statement on the federal corruption probe in which mayors of Hoboken and Secaucus, two state assemblyman, five rabbis and others were rounded up by the F.B.I. as part of a two-year corruption.

“Any corruption is unacceptable – anywhere, anytime, by anybody. The scale of corruption we’re seeing as this unfolds is simply outrageous and cannot be tolerated.”

He and Attorney General Anne Milgram, are to make additional comments at a press conference July 23 at the New Jersey Consumer Affairs Office, Newark.
