Fire Destroys House in Dias Creek

DIAS CREEK — A fire gutted a home at 70 New River Road the afternoon of Nov. 17.
According to a source on scene, the fire was called in at approximately 12:30 p.m.
“It was a fully involved working structure fire,” said the source.
Responding to the blaze were fire companies from Court House, Rio Grande, Goshen, Green Creek and Stone Harbor.
Rescue personnel from Court House, Middle Township and Rio Grande were on scene, along with Middle Township Police.
“The house was severely damaged,” said the source.
The Cape May County Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
