I have always had issues with the crime and how much punishment is given according. I think their are much harsher punishments for a much less criminal charge, but in this case it is the other way around, where the punishment is much too small for the charge. It's a travesty and I hope the family can find some way to cope, my condolences. But as for the 9 years sentence? That could possibly be just for the posession of the drugs. A person I know, a good person too, whose son has been in quite a lot of trouble just received 9 years and his attorneys advised him to take the deal because he would have received 9 years on the drug charge alone and he had many other charges against him. I read this and think, hmmmmmmm is that what this person plead guilty? I don't know what he did plead guilty of, and I don't see that it says that he plead guilty to all the charges in the above article, so........

My deep felt condolences to the Lozier family at this difficult time following the guilty plea. At least the driver is receiving some sort of sentence, but it should be much longer. My 10 year old brother was killed by a drunk driver in broad daylight in 1970, all the driver received at that time was to lose his drivers license for life because they did not have DWI laws as they do today. The Loziers are in my prayers.

It is a crime that he only gets 9 years. Craig won't be back in 9 years, let the bum rot in jail.

This is the same judicial system that gave the local "star" 5 years and a movie contract with the SJTSA. It's no wonder there are so many repeat offenders who keep driving impaired on suspended licenses. Did this kid get the extra 4 years for the drugs? It seems we are all potential victims every time we get into a vehicle or on a cycle to go about our daily lives.

So much for the justice system doing a good job here... NOT>>>> Just look at it this way, All The lawyers got two years of high pay out of this...The judge should resign for being so easy on him to.... This is a joke to our justice system.. We need to get tougher on this kind of thing...I to am sorry for the family.

Gotta love these plea "Deals" who gets the real deal out of these things? Certainly not the victim or his family. What does the prosecutors get out of these things? Just a quick wrap up so they can move on to the next case and make another deal? Why do they even offer these deals? 9 years for SHAME ON THE PROSECUTOR & THE JUDGE In fact, shame on us all.

9 years? He kills someone because he was under the influence, and gets caught with drugs with intent to sell, and he gets 9 years? Poor Craig, he won't be back in 9 years, he was given a death sentence. :( Shame on the justice system, they make it too easy for criminals.
