COURT HOUSE – Mark your calendar! The "Cape May County Report", a half hour news and information program that focuses on Cape May County programs and issues, airs on the first Sunday of every month at 9:30 a.m. on NBC 40.
The next edition of the "Cape May County Report" will air on Sun., Feb. 5, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. The program, hosted by Communications Director Lenora Boninfante, will feature an interview with Freeholder Director Gerald M. Thornton who will discuss the direction of the new Freeholder Board in 2012. Plus, County Treasurer Edmund Grant will provide an overview of the 2012 proposed County Budget.
Additional programs of the “Cape May County Report” will air this year on March 4, April 1, May 6, June 3, July 1, Aug. 5th, Sept. 2, Oct. 7, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2, 2012.

This is a great idea, as is the broadcast of town meetings on public TV. Anything that gets information out to the public about government is worthwhile.

I won't get to see it like the other five people who will be watching it because DIrecTV does not currently carry NBC-40. I don't figure missing anything though; this is undoubtedly a self-congratulatory CMC promotional vignette in lieu of objectively-approached issues and answers programming.
