County Prepares to Open New Sea Isle City Branch Library in Oct.

COURT HOUSE – Cape May County will open the new 6.5 Million Dollar Sea Isle City Branch Library in October! Freeholder Leonard Desiderio announced that Cape May County will open the new Sea Isle City Library located at 4800 Central Avenue on Tues., Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. The public is invited to attend!

The current Sea Isle City branch of the Cape May County Library located at 125 John F. Kennedy Boulevard will close its doors on Sun., Oct. 9, 2011.

Between Oct. 10 and Oct. 24, no fines will be charged and book drops will be open at both the old and new locations of the Sea Isle City Library.

Also, while the Sea Isle City Library is closed, patrons are asked to call 463-6350 to let the library know where you would like to pick up your requests.

“The County and Sea Isle City are excited about the new Sea Isle City Branch Library. Patrons will enjoy the new library that includes over 14,000 square feet with two decks overlooking the Back Bay,” said Freeholder Desiderio. He added, “We apologize for any inconvenience the two week closure causes but we look forward to serving you at the new Sea Isle City Library starting October 25th!"
