CAPE MAY - Naval Air Station (NAS) Wildwood Aviation Museum hosted close to 100 Richard M. Teitelman middle school students on Thu., Feb. 8 as part of the school’s Black History Month celebration. The students accompanied by their teachers, enjoyed a brief orientation to the museum and tour of historic hangar #1 which included an educational scavenger hunt. Social Studies teacher Linda Merlino helped organize the day’s activities which included the Aviation Museum tour, viewing of the movie Red Tails and lunch.

Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum is located in Historic Hangar #1 at the Cape May Airport, New Jersey. Cape May Airport was formerly Naval Air Station Wildwood, which served as a World War II dive-bomber training center. The museum is dedicated to the 42 airmen who perished while training at Naval Air Station Wildwood between 1943 and 1945.
