AVALON – Check out these activities taking place at the Avalon Free Public Library!

Mac Computer Class at the Avalon Library

The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a Mac computer workshop on Wed., Feb. 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Topic will be “Social Networking, part one, Texting, Facebook, and Twitter.” Classes are free but registration is required by calling 967-7155 or stopping by the circulation desk.

PC Users Group at the Avalon Library

The Avalon Free Public Library will hold a PC Users Group meeting on Mon., Feb. 20 from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. The topic will be “Five Steps to take with a new computer BEFORE you use it!” No registration is required and the program is free and open to the public.

eReader Users Group at the Avalon Library

The Avalon Free Public Library will hold an eReader Users Group on Tues., Feb. 21 from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. Bring your Kindle or other eReader. Bring your questions. No registration is required and the program is free and open to the public.

Knitting Instruction at the Avalon Library

The Avalon Free Public Library hosts a Knitting instruction group every Mon. from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the library. All levels of knitters are welcome.

The Avalon Library received 5 stars in Library Journal’s national rating of public libraries, based on statistical performance data collected by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The Avalon Library is one of only three libraries in New Jersey to receive the 5-Star designation four times since 2009.
