NORTHFIELD POINT — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties is holding their Eighth Annual Miniature Golf Challenge on Sun., Sept. 12, from noon until 3 p.m. The fund raising event is hosted by Playland’s Castaway Cove at 10th and Boardwalk in Ocean City, and is presented by New Vistas Corporation.
Registration begins at 12 p.m. Sponsors for the event will have the privilege of sending two golfers to pair up with a Big Brother or Sister and the child they mentor, giving sponsors a first-hand experience of what their donations accomplish at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties.
The Challenge will feature contests including hole-in-one and lowest score for both adults and children. At 2 p.m., players can enjoy lunch while learning their results on the leader board and a having a chance at great prizes.
For 45 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties has helped local children each their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships. Our mission is to reach every child who wants & needs our help. To succeed, we need funds.
Screening, training, and supervising each match of child and mentor costs an average of $1,000 per year. Without the generosity of businesses and individuals, we can’t help at-risk children fulfill their potential as positive members of the community

All donations in Atlantic and Cape May Counties stay within the community; 92.2% of every dollar goes directly to children’s programs.
