Rotary Report – The Ocean City/Upper Township Noon Rotary and the OC/UT Evening Rotary have donated and will be distributing approximately 600 dictionaries and atlases to third and seventh graders in the area as part of “The Dictionary Project.” Students who will be receiving the books are in the Upper Township, Ocean City, Sea Isle City, and Woodbine/Dennis Township Schools. Rotary is a volunteer organization which supports projects in the community. Contact Roy Zehner at 609-390-8812 for further information about the Noon Rotary, which meets Mondays at the Tuckahoe Inn in Beesleys Point.

Tea for Two, or 32, or More – There’s always a crowd at the Ocean City Historical Museum for the Annual Children’s Tea, which this year takes place on Sat., Feb. 11, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The program, for children ages 5 to 9, includes a traditional Victorian tea, craft project, demonstration of antique toys, tea sandwiches, dessert, and time to explore the Museum. The cost is $3 per person, with one adult per three children. Reservations and full payment are required in advance. Romantaic Reception: The Ocean City Repertory Theater will present the fifth annual Romance through the Ages by Candlelight on Sat., Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.; and Tues., Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. The program will consist of love ballads and songs through the ages. A chocolate buffet will be served at the evening performances, and there will be a tea on Sun., Feb. 12. Tickets are $10 per person. For reservations, call 609-457-6686 or visit www.ocrep.org. The OC Repertory Theater is located at 813 Asbury Ave.

Attention: New Jersey students entering grades 7-9 — The Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey and the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife report that applications are now being accepted for the 2012 Sedge Island Summer Field Experience. The program is open to students entering grades 7 to 9, who have an interest in exploring NJ’s salt marshes.

The first session takes place Thurs., June 28 through Mon., July 2. The second session begins Mon., July 30 through Fri., Aug. 3. Visit www. conservewildlifenj.org for complete information.

There will be an Open House on Sat., Feb. 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Island Beach State Park Interpretative Center, Seaside Park, in Ocean County. There, you can learn more about the program, ask questions, and meet the instructors. Please RSVP by calling Karen Leskie at 609-748-4347.

The Strathmere Ensemble will be performing at the United Methodist Church in Sea Isle City on JFK Blvd. and Park Road at 4 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 19.
