DEL HAVEN -- Middle Township police reported the July 17 arrest at 4 p.m. of Brian Bowden, 20, of this community.

Taken into custody without incident, he was charged with sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Those charges stemmed from an investigation that indicated that Bowden allegedly had consensual sex with a 13-year-old female.

Superior Court Judge Raymond A. Batten set bail of $100,000.

Bowden was remanded to county jail. Detective Paul Loefflad conducted the investigation.
