VILLAS — On Jan. 26 at 3 p.m., Lower Township police pulled a car over on Bayshore Road, searched it and found numerous prescription pills and over $2,000 cash.

Investigation revealed that the accused had also recently sold an undisclosed amount of pills for $1,800 prior to being stopped.

Police charged Donald P. Fagen, 46, of the 200 block of Arizona Avenue, with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession with the intent to distribute prescription drugs, specifically percocet, vicodin and oxycodone.

Fagen was lodged in county jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.

Patrolman William Barcas and Detectives Chris Lambert, Art Mason and Mel Hedum investigated the case.

lambert you better stop and think about the future of these peoples lives.this bullshit you pull with your creative writing in your reports; almost everything you put in a report is made up from your sick mind.just remember you do have kids and they can be framed also.

about 12 years ago when I moved to Lower township from wildwood, everyone said I would have a hard time with the police over here being I'm black .In 12 years,I've only been stopped once and that was by Det. Lambert.only because I had an expired inspection sticker. These officers work hard for their money and all have treated me w/ respect. If you can't get behind these guys that you would be the first one to call in your dire need, then perhaps you should move.
Yes,we all know that lower had drug problem but it also has it's share of idiots that have no respect for the law. Good Job LTPD

I've known Chris from the good old days in Pyramid Gym .Actually,a real nice guy. When it comes to The War on Drugs right in my town, He Has Made significant progress.LET HIM DO His Job....He doesn't just pick on people, We can all have our drink at happy hour,...and stay home afterward.Don't drive drunk, don't sell drugs, don't be stupid and drive around smoking pot...or delivering even a couple pills to a friend cause that ain't being a real friend anyway.Anyone who has a problem with Chris Lambert is not the kind of person you need in your life.

Detective Lambert may be getting drugs off of our streets, but that doesn't mean he's not a dirty cop and a bad person. Last time I checked if someone is under arrest they need to be properly merandized and told what they're under arrest for. Oh and it's also not fair to overcharge someone because you're having a bad day or because you don't like somebody. I bet that this move by the prosecutor angered the hell outta Chris. =) I'd love to see the steam pouring out of his ears. Haha

Hey Cape May County, I just heard that the Cape May County Prosecutors Office, Prosecutor Taylor has ounce again restricted Detective Lambert from all drug work. This is the same thing Prosecutor Taylor did approx. 2yrs ago when this detective was assigned to the division by the Chief and arrested record number of drug dealers and took a large amounts of drugs off our streets, and now many drug dealers will not even come into Lower Twp. because of this detective and others in the detective division. I wonder if Prosecutor Taylor knows and even cares that Lower Twp. has a serious drug problem, as a resident of Lower Twp. I for one feel this detective is responsible for stopping a large amount of drugs from hitting our street and most importantly our children!
Prosecutor Taylor needs to know that this detective has been there for us and we want him back on the street fighting drugs and keeping our street safe.

Clearly sounds like a investigation, those detectives are not just making regular car stop's. This guy was a dealer!

It's great that this guy was caught, but the Lower PD does like to pull people over just to get a laugh...sad very sad!

You are correct, I just wonder if the mayor and council know it. This is our town, these DRUGGIES are here and they are responsible for a large portion of the crime. We need to keep arresting and going after these DRUGGIES, making sure they know that "IT WILL NOT HAPPEN IN OUR TOWN".
I feel we the residents of Lower Township should make it clear to the mayor and council that we need a police force that has the ability to fight crime, and in this case take the fight right to the DRUGGIES. We can not afford to loose any other police officers, I agree we may need to sharpen our pencils in particular area's but not the safety of our children and families.

Not much detail here. Was this an investigation or did he just have a taillight out?
