
WILDWOOD — County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor announced the arrest of David Wil-son, a.k.a “Murda, of this municipality.
Wilson, a documented leader of the G-Shine set of the Bloods Street Gang, was arrested by members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs Guns Narcotics Task Force and the Middle Township Police Department.
On Dec. 18, the members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office received information that Wilson was in possession of a sawed-off shotgun. Surveillance units then followed Wilson as he left Wildwood in a 1995 Green Toyota Avalon. Wilson was then followed to the Green Creek Section of Middle Township where he was taken into custody with the assistance of the Middle Township Police Department.
Wilson had outstanding bench warrants for failure to appear before Superior Court Judge Raymond Batten. A search of Wilson after his arrest revealed 31 bags of heroin on his person. With the assistance of the Cape May County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit, a Court authorized search warrant was then executed on Wilson’s vehicle. As a result of the search warrant, a 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun was seized from the vehicle.
Wilson, 30, of 3900 Atlantic Avenue, was charged with: possession of CDS, specifically heroin under one half ounce, a third degree crime; possession with intent to distribute CDS, specifically heroin, under one half ounce, a third degree crime; possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, a second degree crime, unlawful possession of a weapon, a third degree crime; certain persons not to possess weapons, a second degree crime; possession of a weapon while in the course of committing the distribution of CDS, a crime of the second degree; possession of marijuana under 50 grams, a disorderly persons offense; and resisting arrest, a third degree crime.
Wilson was lodged in the Cape May County Jail on the outstanding bench warrants and bail for the additional charges was set by Municipal Court Judge George Neidig Jr. at $100,000.00 cash, no 10 percent, no bond.
Persons convicted of a second-degree crime may be sentenced between 5 and 10 years in the New Jersey State Prison.

If the prosecutor wakes up and actually prosecutes on this, the shotgun is a Federal item.

The ups and downs of a drug dealer. His arrest is the price of doing business and is calculated in his career. Maybe Turkey has the right idea. Take a hand or two off and that would surely slow him down. I can't wait for his lawyer to come forth and claim it was racial profiling and that he should be set free pending trial
