Community Mourns Loss of Active Resident

STONE HARBOR — A prominent borough resident, William “Bill” David Burns, Jr., 42, died the morning of Dec. 15.

Burns was the current chairman of the Planning Board and owner of Bradley’s Steaks and Hoagies.

Borough Council held a moment of silence for Burns during its meeting Dec. 15.

A "Burns’ Children Fund" has been set up at Cape Bank in Stone Harbor where donations can be made to help the family.

Burns is survived by his wife, Michelle, four children, parents William and Fran Burns and his sister Heather.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 19 at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, 9910 Third Ave., Stone Harbor.

The viewing will be at the church from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. with the funeral mass immediately following.
