Wildwood Battles Over Assistant Hire

WILDWOOD — Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. and Commissioner Bill Davenport voted Nov. 16 to terminate the part-time employment of Samuel Lashman, the confidential assistant hired in October by Commissioner Gary DeMarzo.
According to the resolution passed Monday, Lashman was hired when there was no vacancy for a confidential assistant and at a rate not authorized by the city's salary ordinance. Lashman also was not hired by resolution, as the city's own regulations require. The city had three confidential assistants for the three commissioners, Lisa Hare, Sue Maxwell and Ellen DeVito. Hare, a former Hamilton Township construction code official, resigned recently after being charged with official misconduct in that township.
City officials said they have no plans to fill Hare's vacant position. DeMarzo, who believes the resolution was “improper” went to personnel director Gordon Ball's office after Monday’s vote and filled out the paperwork to hire Lashman full-time as a confidential assistant at an annual salary of $20,000.

wildwood is disgusting. with a new no nonsense governor we need new no nonsense commisioners, vote YES to recall the good ol' boys. and vote # 4, and # 5 for brannen and harshaw. it's our only hope, and change is the only way to get control of withdraws from the city coffers by these ruthless mayor and commisioner.

Troaino and Davenport's true color are coming out with their insults and attacks. They have nothing to show for their years supposedly in the service of the taxpayers and always resort to insults and attacks. These two have no conscience. Let's make sure we get them out of office. Vote yes to recall Davenport and Troiano and then vote ballot #4 and ballot #5 for two decent, honest men, Harshaw and Brannen.

sea4me - what great links. If Troiano and Davenport don't get indicted before the election for all their deceitful shenanigans, I certainly hope they do after. But in the meantime, I'll go to the polls on December 8th and first vote yes to recall Davenport and Troiano and then vote for the two best candidates to take their place, Brannen and Harshaw. A bright future is ahead for Wildwood only when these guys are gone.

Troiano and Davenport are pathetic. DeMarzo is the ONLY voice of the people in city hall and isn't afraid to have a transparent government. These guys are scared to death and they should be. They're done. December 8th, vote yes to recall Troiano and Davenport and then make sure neither gets back in and vote ballot number 4 and 5 for Harshaw and Brannen; two decent, honest, educated and business savy men.

Well Troiano and Davenport opened the City to more litigation... and the best part is that Troiano and Davenport knew the were going to be sued for wrongful termination. So what did they do? They made sure that the resolution provided them with a free lawyer paid for by our taxpayer money.
Aren't these guys special!
DeMarzo is the only Commissioner to open this government to the public. Troiano and Davenport do not want anyone exposing them for what they are; a very expensive JOKE.

I received a political flyer in my mailbox today for T/D. All the lies stated about Demarzo. Hey Ern, your son Ryan is no angel. Anyway, I crossed my name out and wrote on the flyer "RETURN TO SENDER" so I'm sure it'll be back at the residence stamped in the left hand corner. Vote for AL and Chip !!!!
