STONE HARBOR – The borough treats families to free Monday night puppet shows, magic, parades and more with Family Fun Nights at the firehouse on 96th Street.
A unique family-friendly free event is offered Monday nights at 7 p.m. through August 24.
“Kids and their parents have a relaxing way to spend the evening and it doesn’t cost a cent. Just bring your beach chairs or blankets and we’ll provide the rest,” event organizer Amy Giulian said.
Fun events began June 29 with the Eric Dasher Magic Show and continued July 6 with a One-Man Circus performed by Benjamin Lipman, whose novel show featuring performance skills from around the world.
The following performances will be featured throughout the remainder of the summer:
• July 13: Tom McDonnell Magic Show
• July 20: Alfred Cunard Baby Parade
• July 27: Tucker Tales Puppet Theatre
• Aug. 3: Eva the Diva
• Aug. 10: The Turtlesinger
• Aug. 17: A Large Reptile Show
• Aug. 24: Storytelling with Animal Balloons
