Middle Township Police Has a Busy Weekend

This past weekend, Friday June 26th to Sunday June 28th, the Middle Township Police Department responded to 325 Calls for Service.

Officers responded to 20 Motor Vehicle Accidents, 16 of the accidents were investigated by Middle Township Police and 4 of the accidents, officers responded to and assisted the New Jersey State Police on the Garden State Parkway. One arrest for Driving While Intoxicated was made on State Highway 47 in Rio Grande as the result of a four car collision involving a Middle Township Police vehicle.

Police arrested Sharon Dunhour, age 39 from the Villas and charged her with Careless Driving and Driving While Intoxicated. As a result of the rear end four car collision, two vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Middle Township Police has designated State Highway 47 a high enforcement area and asks residents and visitors to drive carefully.
