Preparations are being made for the 2009 Miss North Wildwood scholarship pageant, which will be held July 16 at the Lou Booth Amphitheater.

A luncheon will be held on Wednesday, July 15 at Sunset Bay Restaurant in North Wildwood.

Candidates for the Miss North Wildwood 2009 crown will be interviewed by a select panel of judges. The crowning of the new Miss North Wildwood 2009 will be held the following evening at the Lou Booth Amphitheater, at 7 p.m.

The current Miss North Wildwood 2008 is Delia Marie Cannon, who attends St. Joseph’s University.

Candidates must have attained their 16th birthday, and not yet attained their 21st birthday as of July 14, 2009.

Some other rules apply, including:

• Contestants must be single, never married, and without children.

• Contestants under the age of 18 must provide parental consent to participate.

• Competition will consist of interviews and appropriate attire.

The winner of the pageant will receive $500, a crown, and a trophy.
