Driver Charged with DUI in Rio Grande Crash

RIO GRANDE— Police are investigating a crash here in the parking lot of Menz Restaurant that occurred on Friday, June 12, at 10:44 p.m.
According to police the small pick-up-truck was traveling south on Route 47 when for an unknown it left the roadway entering the restaurant parking lot and striking a piling before flipping over.
The Middle Township Ambulance Corps and Medic 9 were dispatched to the scene with the Rio Grande and Green Creek Fire Departments.
The driver identified as John Papale, 22, of Villas, had to be extricated from the truck before he was transported to a ball field on Rail Road Boulevard to be airlifted.
Papale was airlifted to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center’s trauma unit in Atlantic City by South Star medevac. The flight crew reported the victim to be in stable condition with a head injury.
Papale was charged with several motor vehicle violations, including driving while intoxicated. The accident is under investigation by Ptlm. Ronald Miller of the Middle Township Police department.

I've heard that he was naked. Why was this man driving in the nude? Drunk driving naked is extremely dangerous. Are the penalties for a D.U.I.N. {drunk under the influence naked} , more punishing then a D.U.I.? I sure hope so. This young man needs some mental health treatment! Were his clothes in the back of the truck? What kind of tires are those?

I have a hard time feeling bad for irrespnsible people that drive drunk and get in accidents. Luckily, No one else was hurt..

he's really lucky it wasn't earlier when the parking lot could have been packed with lots of people... could have been lots of nasty injuries and/or fatalities
