
MAYS LANDING — Boaters and sailors can obtain the mandatory state certification for operating watercraft at Atlantic Cape Community College, with classes offered throughout the summer.
The two-day workshops, taking place June through September, are conducted by the nationally approved Coast Boating School. The course covers rules, laws and safety practices for individuals who operate any type of personal watercraft. All materials are included, and certification through the course is approved for insurance discounts. The course is suitable for adults and children 10 or older.
Classes are held on the Mays Landing Campus, 7-10 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, June 24-25; Monday and Tuesday, July 13-14; Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 19-20; and Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 21-22.

The US Coastguard Auxiliary has a Boating Safety Classes at Price Hall: Academy and Seashore roads, Cold Spring, Cape May County.
The classes are 8 hours. June 13th, 27th, July 11th, 25th or August 8th.
The Cost is $45 Work book materials will be mailed out.
