VILLAS — Lower Township police on May 28 at approximately 10 p.m. while conducting a drug interdiction operation in the Shawcrest section of Lower Township arrested a subject who was in the process of delivering heroin.
The suspect is identified as Heath Lindholm, 36 years of age, of the 1100 block of Delaware
Avenue in Villas. He was under surveillance as he traveled into Shawcrest to
deliver a large amount of heroin to a business location in that section of Lower Township.
Patrol and detective vehicles intercepted him as he sat in a parked motor vehicle upon his
arrival at the destination. As detectives approached the subject they observed a packet of
heroin in the suspect’s hand.
Lindholm was placed under arrest. Further investigation disclosed a total of 5 bundles consisting of 40 bags of heroin with an approximate street value of $1000.00. The remaining packages that were recovered had been hidden in the arrestee's
sneaker and on the seat where Lindholm was seated in the motor vehicle.
The suspect was arrested at the scene and taken to the Lower Township Police Department
for processing. Judge David DeWeese set bail at $100,000 cash for the defendant who is
charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.
The subject was later transferred to the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
Lindholm had previously been arrested for possession of 80 bags of heroin on April 24, 2009
and was currently awaiting trial on those charges at the time of his most recent arrest.
Detective Chris Lambert, Detective Joseph Boyle and Special Officer John Menz investigated
the case.

Apparently, setting bail for him doesn't help anything. He is a drug dealer, and I'm sure he has many friends who are drug dealers. He's just going to keep getting bailed out, because this is what people who hang on the street do. They help each other out. I think someone ought to send this man to rehab. If he is selling it, he may be abusing it, also. Sometimes you can't fix problems with a punishment such as going to jail. It takes more than that, getting to the bottom of what started this problem and fixing it, so it won't keep reoccurring.

I think it's funny that someone calling himself "doobiebrother" wants to shoot drug users. Of course, I know usernames shouldn't be taken literally. I've never murdered anyone.

Threatening to put a bullet in someone shows stupidity on "Doobie" something or others part. The system fails, it always does. Who gets to pay for it failing, we do. Maybe his crack head buddy bailed him out, using crack dealer money. Interesting......

good job police! hmm how does people like this keep getting out? It is because our jails are full! It takes a lot of money to keep someone in jail and most people are like me and don't really want to pay more taxes. Because of this a lot of lowlives like this are back out on the streets. What we need are the jails to have more programs that will help people like this become positive members of the community when they get out of jail.

What is the threat to any of these drug dealers if they are dealing and get caught? They are right back on the streets again. No threat for them. Obviously they DON'T CARE and they are right back out there again doing the same thing! The whole thing is totally messed up. I agree with Tuckahoekid. They should sit in jail until their court date. Ridiculous. Too many of these repeat offenders on the streets!

Lindholm also has a December '08 drug arrest, so make that 3 times within 5 and a half months.

I never have liked the idea of bail.
It lets criminals back on the street.
They should be kept in jail, arrange for lawyers to meet with them at the jail, and they can only be released AFTER a jury finds them not guilty.

Do they do bail source hearings in Cape May County?

We need to get rid of these liberal judges that let these criminals out of jail. Remember these things when November comes around, Van Drew and his lap dogs help pick the morons that sit on OUR courts. This is your town, your county, not the judges and not the politicians!

How the heck did he get out of jail that quick???? Unbelievable send his butt away!!!! I think something is very weird how he keep's getting out so quickly three heroin arrest within a year and still out walking the streets. Definition of insanity DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS. Something has to be done like maybe keep him in jail till he goes to court.
